The Gargoyle Empress runs The Bastion of The Gargoyle Empress as an absolute monarchy with a help from the nobility as picked by The Bastion of The Gargoyle Empress in order to help assist in law and order around The Bastion and to help settle smaller disputes that The Gargoyle Empress would not otherwise have time for. The title of The Gargoyle Empress passes down from mother to daughter in the hierarchical line of the monarchy.

The Gargoyle Guard are the principle elite guard of The Bastion of The Gargoyle Empress. Although they tend to focus in and around Gargola, the capital of The Bastion of The Gargoyle Empress, they do patrol and keep the peace around the entire lands of The Bastion of The Gargoyle Empress. They also have fortresses throughout The Bastion.

Cloud Giants are the local population of the lands that The Bastion of The Gargoyle Empress now resides. They were being cut down and their populations dwindled. The very first Gargoyle Empress met with the Cloud Giants and worked out a deal. The travelling bands nomadic tribes that The Gargoyle Empress was from would ally with the Cloud Giants and they would share the lands as one nation without fear and without hatred. The Cloud Giants agreed and became one of the first non-human citizens of the new Bastion.
The Gargoyle Empress had an ability, which has been passed down from generation to generation, to communicate with, magically summon, and control gargoyles to do her bidding. With this power has come the title of The Gargoyle Empress and has brought many of their enemies to the dirt below.
