Lightless
Lightless are telepathic with one another and don't need to speak but, when they do, they tend to speak in boring, monotone type voice. Their language is unique and unlike any other language in that it can take place telepathically one moment and then out loud in the same sentence.

The Lightless
Lightless were basically urban legends until their curiosity of the developing towns and cities forced them into society. Misakenly labeled as monsters or demons, it took years before they were embraced by civilization. Some people were so charmed by their eccentric, inquisitive natures that many humans and elves have sought out adopting lightless.
Lightless are very inquisitive, and enjoy exploring, asking questions, experiencing new things, etc. They have little to no understanding of personal space and privacy. In their homes, they tend to have doors but small/no walls. They just don't understand keeping secrets from one another.
Lightless also have a short-range (120ft) telepathic connection with one another (not with other races), so they see no reason to keep secrets. They're also very intrigued with magic and science, and are constantly trying to improve both -- by mixing and comparing the two.

Anatomy
No one is quite sure what is underneath the cloak of a Lightless. Some believe they are boney creatures and others believe they are nothing underneath.
Dietary Needs and Habits
The Lightless have no need to eat but, when they do, any food or drink they digest disappears the moment it reaches the void where their face would normally be.
