The Ruins of Old Golarion and the Domain of the Dragons Serving the Dragon Goddess Tiamat.

Geography

The New World is filled with Impossibly large Mountains and other similar extreme terrain. It is the ruins of Old Golarion that were not protected by the Gods of the Old World and as such they are filled to bursting with the ruins of the old world.

Localized Phenomena

The New World is home to a high population of Dragons and this has altered the Landscape, with their magical essence causing the land to grow even more wild and untamed. Beasts and Plants grow to titanic sizes and magic runs rampant across the land. Rare Metals and other magic dependent resources are also present in high quantities.

History

Following the Merging of Worlds, the New World was formed from the leftover landmass of Old Golarion and left to solidify for a time during the reconstruction of Almura. During this time the Dragon Queen Tiamat returned to the Mortal Realm after her time trapped in the Great Beyond. She sent out a call to all the Dragons of the World and called them to her service. Many answered, though those who now claimed the Land of Dragonholme as their home refused. Among the many to answer Tiamat's Call were the Primordial Dragons, Apsu, Dahak and Garhaazh. Each of the Three challenged Tiamat and all three were defeated and forced into submission by her. Apsu, once the Patron God of Virtuous Dragons, has now been reduced to a Guard for the Dragon Queen. Dahak was beaten in a Vicious but one sided duel with the Queen and he has been forced into the Northern Mountains to battle with the Rogue Giant Clans unless called upon by Tiamat. Garhaazh escaped from his battle with her but his wings were shredded and he now prowls the southern coast for prey, stripped of his ability to fly.
