Rai

Rai are Daera'rai's race of cat people! They usually stand about as tall as most humans, with some varieties of Rai being taller on average; the normal height range for Rai is 5 to 6.5 feet. Rai are bipedal and humanoid, with five clawed fingers and toes on each hand and foot. Their feet are more pawlike, and some Rai favor their natural padding over shoes. Their bodies are covered in fur; some Rai have hair in the form of a mane, and all Rai have some form of cat-like tail. Racially, Rai can range in appearance drastically when it comes to the look of their face and the pattern of their fur. Some Rai appear more lion-like, others may bear a closer facial resemblence to a housecat. Any sort of big cat or feline creature may be used as inspiration when a player creates a Rai character. Rai are fairly prevelent as a race, and can be found all across Almalath. They can be be as varried has humans when it comes to their professions, some types of Rai be very naturally physically strong. Daera'rai represents Justice and Truth, and many Rai growing up in their native societys go on to become fighters, warriors, and soldiers. Rai can see better than most other races in low-light and near-darkness. Their tails give them great balance, and they possess superior hearing. Unarmed, they are able to use their claws as a natural weapon.
