Alluvia is a world that has seen many trials and tribulations; its history is drenched in blood and strife, pain and suffering. Although even though the natural laws of this world have been shattered and defiled more times than not, it finds a way to rebuild and prosper. But almost as if they have not learned from past mistakes, it seems that old grudges, historical battles, and mortal pride obstruct the plane's goals to ultimate peace.

The world of Alluvia is a realm deeply entrenched in conflict. And while the plane is currently at its most peaceful, tensions may rise to new strife. As those who inhabit Alluvia, shall you try to maintain the peace and order many have strived to keep or plunge the world into another chaotic conflict? The choice is yours.

The Three Pillars

Alluvia is a setting filled with wonder and mystery and is supported by three main pillars: Magic, Intrigue, and Discovery. Players can expect to encounter these facets of gameplay as adventurers in the setting.

Magic

For as long as Alluvia has existed, the realm has been deeply intertwined with the arcane forces known as magicka or magic in colloquial terms. The air one breathes, the ground one touches, and even their entire being can all be attributed because of the existence of this magnificent and mysterious force. Magic is described as the manipulation of external forces, allowing such external stimuli to be bent to one's control. However, it is also known as the expression of one's will.

One's undying devotion to a cause, belief in a powerful deity, mastery of the arcane arts, and even sheer force of will allow one to harness the power of the arcane. The concept is deeply ingrained in many cultures across the realm that even the mere passion for a craft is considered to be the result of magic.

Magic is not just some magnanimous force that allows one to bend reality; it is also the hearts and minds of a people. The passion and perseverance of a warrior as they pledge their oaths to protect their homeland, the love and care an artisan puts into his craft, and the toil and sweat of a farmer providing for their family. All of these are permutations of magic.

All are one with magic, and all are connected by it.

Intrigue

Like most worlds, Alluvia has undergone many changes in its illustriously long-known history of 10,000 years. Cultures arose, empires were built, empires fell, and then began anew again. Coalitions, kingdoms, free cities, factions, and social groups; there are many who claim a stake and seek to either create their legacy in this world or cement their rule over it.
