Queen Cassandra the Immortal
Queen Cassandra Sundaughter (a.k.a. Queen Cassandra the Immortal)
Unbeknownst to many at the time, Queen Cassandra had spent much of her life since claiming the throne trying to find a way to remain there beyond the short lifespan of normal humans. While it was believed her initial intentions were to try and imitate Alexander the Lich King of Kingswood due to her well known Sorcerous powers, she ended up achieving her immortality another way, through an ill-worded wish granted by a captured powerful Efreet.
Her wish was to reign until the end of time, protected against those who would see her harmed or off the throne. The Efreet played between the lines of her wish, putting her into an eternal stasis, leaving her frozen upon her throne, looking down disapprovingly at her subjects. Her mind is still active and over the many long years, decades and centuries that followed she has managed to learn to cast the magicks she could before without movement or word and even to communicate into the minds of her subjects around her so that her orders may still be given and followed.
Over the centuries there have been plenty of attempts to end her reign, but any who try to attack or otherwise overthrow her find themselves suffering the same fate as her thanks to the second wish, as do any attempts to usurp her; frozen in time as they try to strike at her or claim dominance, making for a strange and macabre addition to the royal palace in the form of the Hall of Traitors where these people are moved, documented and used to teach others not to make the same mistake.
