Soul Crystals

Soul crystals were previously unheard of in the Alloy Plane until the Fallingsemal where different planes of existences in relation to the Alloy Plane were shaken and damaged, this caused the natural quick flow off of ones soul to the spirit plane to be slowed and has allowed souls to crystallise or be captured and absorbed into crystals not long after death.

Crystal colour

Ones feelings when they die manifests into the colour of their soul and soul crystal, certain crystals can be interacted with. If a soul crystal is interacted with in a way where emotions or personality is involved they will solely feel and act in the emotion they died in, though if treated a certain way they could change to a feeling directly next to them. For instance someone who died happily and is a green soul crystal can go to either surprise (yellow) or sad (blue), though some souls are more 'there' or can be manipulated by a Soul sculptor to change the emotion to either beside it or allow it to move freely between its secondary emotions.

'Uses'

The ethics of using soul crystals has yet to be explored though some Soul sculptor's believe that it should be ethical if its an animal soul and is sculpted in a way where the soul is happy or can freely move between emotions. Depending on how the soul crystal its self is sculpted different attributes can be brought out from either the 'creature' or the emotion presented, for instance a yellow (surprise) crystal could give some kind of speed or initiative boost or a strong creature could give a strength boost. If a creature could breath fire the crystal could bring out some kind of fire trait that could be used on its self or implanted into a sword for instance to give the blade an activatable flame attack. Though a soul only has so much energy in it so depending on the kind of use or enchantment its used for it can run out of energy and crack, though certain crystals can be adapted to allow for similar souls to be pulled into it to recharge it or the crystal could be sculpted in a way to increase the amount of uses.
These soul crystals could also be used to fuel certain larger contraptions, for instance some mysterious stone sculptures have been found by a group of adventurers in Maramime where large crystals power the sculptures to move, though how it is done is currently unknown, and the sculptures are currently being investigated as a potential threat.
