Dragonborn

The Dragonborn are a strong and proud race, very naturally gifted in the ways of the arcane arts. Their society is very regimented and structured, each different color of dragon having designated roles to carry out as members of the community. These groups of dragonborn are made up of many clans, each of these clans having varying levels in size, wealth, power, and status. Their history is not as ancient as those of the other races, but is still extensive and complex. The Dragonborn have played an enormous role in advancing general understanding of the flow and capabilities of the natural arcane energies permeating the world of Allocke. Many famous dragonborn were renowned sorcerers and wizards, delving deep into the mechanics and characteristics of the aether itself, unlocking new ways to manipulate it for the betterment of all societies. Though some of their discoveries also gave them immense tools for use in dominating their enemies in times of conflict. The Dragonborn have earned a deep respect from members of the other races for their intelligence and innovation.

Ideals

Beauty Ideals

Polished scales and bright colored eyes are considered to be very attractive among dragonborn. Straight, bright teeth are also very appealing. Dragonborn with tails are also viewed as having an extra flair of natural beauty.

Gender Ideals

Males and females are the only genders identified within the species.

Relationship Ideals

Dragonborn always follow the traditional male to female, 1 to 1 relationship style for mating. It is unheard of for them to mate with an individual who is not dragonborn. Dragonborn typically find love with members from other clans, and this helps to create bonds and ties to shift the balance of wealth, power, and status between clans. Cross-color relationships almost never happen. Attraction across colors is possible, though rarely does anything solidify in these cases.
In contrast to their more lizard-like kin, dragonborn bear scales that are large and pronounced, along with elegant horns and often tails as well. Tails take various sizes and lengths, some with spines and others without. Some dragonborn are born without tails at all. They share in the physical power, grace, and sharp ferocity that is embodied by the rare drakes of Allocke. Their mouths are filled with sharp pointed teeth, and their breath is intertwined with elemental power. A dragonborn's color determines their elemental affinity, as well as their role in society.   Temperaments and personalities are not influenced by a dragonborn's color, but rather the character of the members of a clan are as varied as is typical of families in most other races. The lifestyles and tasks that are assigned to a color are usually regimented and binding, though there can be some variance in the methods or applications for the work that is set for a particular group of dragonborn.    There is a spectrum of dragonborn colors, eleven colors and one extremely rare color.
