Dragonborn

A race of draconic creatures native to the Northern reaches of Allansia, Dragonborn were originally hatched from dragon eggs as a unique race themselves. Faithfully serving the true dragons, no one is really sure what happened to the Dragonborn. All anyone truly knows is that the Dragonborn have not been seen in centuries and are presumed extinct.

Description

Dragonborn looked very much like dragons standing erect in humanoid form, though lacking wings or a tail. The first Dragonborn had scales of vibrant hues matching the colours of their dragon kin, but generations of interbreeding created a more uniform appearance. Their small, fine scales were usually brass or bronze in colour, sometimes ranging to scarlet, rust, gold, or copper-green. They were tall and strongly built, with talonlike claws with three fingers and a thumb on each hand.
The blood of a particular type of dragon ran very strong through some Dragonborn clans. These Dragonborn often boasted scales that more closely match those of their dragon ancestor—bright red, green, blue, or white, lustrous black, or gleaming metallic gold, silver, brass, copper, or bronze.

Culture & Society

It is written that most Dragonborn lived in a clan-based society covering most of the Hollow Wastes, just south of the mysterious island known as Dragon's Refuge. 
The Dragonborn kept to themselves, rarely engaging with other races for anything. As such, little is known about their culture other than the fact that they were a fiercely territorial people. Wanderers who found themselves within the boundaries of Dragonborn land would very soon notice an increasing presence of watchful figures on the horizon monitoring their movements, and unconsciously being funnelled back out of the Wastes. Of those that lingered, few returned, however there are one or two adventurers that ventured into and returned from the Wastes, skin pale and scarred and afflicted with a sickness that caused their eyes to shed bloody tears and vomiting prior to a painful death - The Curse of the Hollow Wastes.
