Sharelord

In Bolotto, where business and capitalism reign supreme, there are a handful of Sharelords; businessmen of such status and wealth that they can act as lords.
As of 785 AQ, there are 128 Sharelords.

Qualifications

A Sharelord either must have a business or conglomerate large enough to remain instrumental to the Industry and Society of Tyfiel, or be born under another Sharelord.

Benefits

The benefits to being a Sharelord or neigh infinite.
Freedom from Work: A Sharelord no longer needs to directly manage their Company; and will have their servants continue operation, they simply act as figureheads. Slaves: Sharelords can take as many slaves and servants as possible, provided that the Slaves aren't of high status. Pavise Control: A Sharelord will have access to a Secret Service known as Pavise, and will be provided with a handful of Pavise Agents, who will defend and kill for a Sharelord. License to Kill and Assault: A Sharelord can treat any Commoner in any manner, as long as their Job is not considered important to the Government or other Sharelords.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

A Sharelord can only be removed from power if their influence dwindles enough, this is extremely rare, however, and removal from power must be agreed upon by at least 12 other Sharelords.

History

The first Sharelords were Rune Traders who had so much control over the politics of Rune Age Tyfiel, that the Lords had to give them status and privilege to appease them and to maintain their support.
