Oalen

A large kingdom that makes up the left half of Verdanus, is home to massive planes and relatively small forests. Oalen is largely populated by mostly Cat Furkin and Humans of all varieties, but many Eared Humans due to the high Cat population. Oalen is the homeland of the Mahovan faith, so Oalen does not have many native holidays, and recreational alcohol is rare. They value their royal family, which isn’t particularly common nowadays. Many Paladins, Mercenaries and Clerics hail from Oalen.

Structure

Oalen is a kingdom ruled by the royal family and feudal lords, the Mahovan temples also have a lot of sway in the country's politics.

Assets

Oalen is known for its exports of horses, potatoes, carrots, grain, diamonds and steel goods.

Military

Oalen's military has multiple layers, each layer follows the one above it in the chain of command when fighting on a large scale, though each lord's army is assigned with extra priority over their respective region.   Royal Knights: The highest rank under the King, the Royal Knights are hand-picked and have to possess a significant amount of quintessence to even qualify. Even a single Royal Knight is considered a force within themselves. The Royal Knights receive the very best equipment available to Oalen.   Oalennian Paladins: The second highest rank, this force is directly controlled by the Mahovan Temple, nearly every Paladin possesses the ability to use light magic, and receives a generous amount of funding through the Temple.   Central Army: The Central Army is Oalen's most centralized military force, and acts as the most mobile of all of Oalen's forces, they are stationed in the Capitol, alongside several bases which are lined in the borders between feudal states.   Militia: The local forces of each state, successful Militia can be promoted into joining the Central Army.
