Fireball

Fireball is a Fire Spell which is the most common spell taught to Fire Mages, and is a common sight in many Armies in Alland.

In 764 AR; Parker; leader of Valene at the time, had developed what is considered the "Modern Fireball", a more powerful version of the spell, which possesses a denser amount of Quintessence, alongside a white core in the center, it flies at much faster speeds; faster than sound, and leaves a sizeable explosion, capable of Explosions over 3 Meters in Diameter, easily capable of Killing several Unhoned People; Valene quickly adopted this variation of the Spell.

Effect

A Hand-Sized ball of Flames which is formed and propelled from the User's Hand using Quintessence, it leaves a small explosion upon Impact, though the concussive force and heat varies depending on the Magical Strength of the User.

Side/Secondary Effects

Upon a Failed Use, Fireball will fly without Aim, or fizzle out in the user's hand.

Manifestation

A Hand Sized ball of Flame, it leaves no Smoke until it actively burns a target, due to lacking physical fuel. Like all flames, Fireball produces heat and can cause burns.

In the Rune Ages, Fireball was cast using a Fire Rune, along with a pinch of Ginger and Sulfur.
After the discovery of Quintessence based Magic, Fireball changed to be formed out of Quintessence, allowing for a faster rate of fire and higher damage potential.

Gestures & Ritual

With an Open Palm, The user channels their Quintessence, transmuting it into Flame, then with a thrust of the palm, the user fires the projectile.
