Vileko Kingdom
"If the gods, even nature itself, do not grant you magic, how valuable can you be to this world?"
For many generations, the Vileko family has been magical through and through, and their drastic view has shaped the lands ever since. This kingdom revolves around magic and has built their entire civilization as well as religion upon it. Their houses are magical, their food is magical, their forests are magical, almost everything is magic. Magic users are highly respected among them and make up almost the entire population in the kingdom, however non-magic users are excluded from society and sometimes even hunted down and executed. Non-magic users from outside the kingdom are not allowed to come anywhere near the islands, and relations with the other major powers are generally very limited as they choose to keep their distance. One reason for the magical obsession of the royal family could be the islands themselves, as they are supposed to be magically built and full of wonders and secrets.
Structure
The Vileko family has ruled over the Hajallaan Islands and its inhabitants for over 500 years. They are a thoroughly magical family, which possesses great power and only tolerates mages in their ranks. Depending on your level of magical knowledge and the resulting strength, you can rise high in the Vileko family's prestige and even become one of their closest associates.
Culture
Everyone in the kingdom, including the royal family, despise non-mages and non-magical races, including humans, Elhani, Rasker and sometimes even Alvex although they tend to have magic relatively often. All of them are not allowed to enter and anyone who does despite the warnings, is hunted down and killed.
Demography and Population
The Maghoni are most common on the islands, many people including the royal family count amongst them. There are somewhat fewer Helveri than elsewhere, but in return there are unusually high numbers of Somåne. There are also some Inhära and Kereth, who are admired and greatly respected by many on the islands.
Technological Level
The royal family is more interested in magic than in technological progress, because for them magic is much more versatile and clearly superior to man-made gadgets.
They posess great knowlege over magic which is taught in every part of the Islands and always seek ways to enhance it. Higher ranking mages also know powerful spells, that are exclusive to them or posess magical artifacts, some of which originates from ancient times.
