Inhära

Inhära are descendants of a species that once inhabited and controlled the sky. It is said that their ancestors came directly from Solgard to Alkumeri to bring peace and banish evil in the name of the gods. They are blessed with visions that they will follow and try to fulfill, some receive only one, some several, and for some the visions are hard to understand. They are highly respected in the military and politics, because their angelic features give everyone hope for better times. Today, they are rarely found among the many inhabitants of Alkumeri, but their unique features make them easy to recognize. Some have eyes that glow or symmetrical marks on their face that also glow. Rarely, Inhära have something similar to halos of pure light or glowing tears that run continuously from their eyes but never drip from their face.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Inhära look quite similar to humans and both the size and weight are in the same range. One of the most striking features of the Inhära are the luminous features that each of them possesses. These features are located around their head and can manifest themselves in different ways. Some have eyes that glow or symmetrical marks on the face that also glow. Rarely, Inhära have something similar to halos of pure light or glowing tears that run continuously from their eyes but never drip from their face. They come in a wide variety of colors but most often their features are glowing gold or pitch black.
Since they are descended from the gods, they can also manifest their respective powers with which they become angelic beings.

Biological Traits

Inhära age at the same rate as humans but their aging stops when they are around 30 years old. They can live up to 200 years and when they die they turn into shiny dust.
They can see well at night as well as during the day.

Bloodlines

Depending on the bloodline an Inhära descends from, the power of a god resides in them. The respective god grants them a little of their power with which they can manifest their angelic appearance, to drives away the darkness and ensures peace.

Celous bloodline
This Inhära has the power of Celous, the father of Solgard and god of justice, with which they have the power to dispel all darkness. When this Inhära manifests their divine power, a large golden disc appears just above their head, emitting a calming, holy light which is feared by the creatures of Cruternum.

Agape bloodline
This Ihära has the power of Agape, the goddess of love and family, with which they have the power to stand by and watch over people in need. When this Inhära manifests their divine power, four additional spectral arms appear which are both strong and gentle. Although these arms are a part of Agape and are used to bring peace, they should not be underestimated, especially by the creatures of darkness.

Akia bloodline
This Inhära is endowed with the power of Akia, the god of time and chance, with which they can be as swift as the wind to keep up with the speed of time. When this Inhära manifests their divine power, two spectral wings appear on their back, carrying them through the air, making them more agile and allowing them to bring the light from the skies down to Alkumeri. A dangerous opponent for the creatures of darkness if they cannot hear the righteous footsteps of an Inhära.

Sacred Roles

Inhära choose early in their lives which higher goal they want to pursue, and usually before they reach the age of 18 they choose which of the three paths they will follow. Some of them already have a prescribed role from birth which they keep until the end of their life and only rarely change their paths. Shadowbringers are the only exception, because they were corrupted by the darkness only over the course of time and turned into what they have become.

Lightbringer
This Inhära is known for their courage and trained skills in battle. they are the Lightbearer of the Inhära and strike down their foes with the Holy Light, which has been bestowed to them.

Preserver
This Inhära is known for their devotion and healing abilities. They are also often referred to as a healer or physician, due to their innate healing light that closes every wounds.

Guardian
This Inhära is known for their selflessness and loyalty. They are fully dedicated to protecting a person they bonded themselves to. Each guardian protects a person, usually this is someone who has significance for them or is important to ensure a brighter future.

Shadowbringer
This Inhära, unlike the others, is no longer filled with light but instead with pure darkness. This one has been touched by the currupting force of darkness and no longer follows their sacred duty. Often this Inhära no longer necessarily fights against evil and only selves themselves.
