Helveri

It is said of the Helveri that their ancestors came directly from Cruternum and settled on Alkumeri to cause misery and chaos among the people. The gods from Cruternum are said to have created each Helveri according to their own ideas and gifted them some of their magic. Because of their horns they are shunned by people and sometimes even hunted for them. Their skin is often much darker, ranging from somewhat reddish to orange to black or gray. Many inhabitants of Alkumeri see them as a threat and keep a closer eye on them, especially the military. Many also say that the Helveri are the counterpart to the Inhära, as they represent the darkness to their light.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Helveri have similar height and weight distributions as humans or other races. While Helveri have many human features, they still have a few destinct features. Their skin is often much darker than that of others, ranging from a somewhat reddish hue to reddish-orange to black or gray. Their most obvious feature, however, is that they have horns on their heads. They have one horn on each side of the head that can usually have a lenght of 10 centimeters. These horns can be curved forward, backward, to the side, or completely straight. The colors can also vary greatly and do not have to be related to their skin color. Very rarely, they can have only one horn in the middle or on one of the two sides, either way each horn of the Helveri is directly connected to the brain. If it were to be forcibly severed or torn out, death could occur as a direct consequence.

Biological Traits

Helveri age at a similar rate as humans, but the aging process is halved when they reach the age of 25. They live a little longer than humans and always look half as young as a human of the same age. When they die their horns break and disintegrate into smaller pieces and dust.

Divine paragon

Since it is believed that Helveri were created by the seven gods of Cruternum, they have been categorized according to their innate abilities. It is hard to tell them apart externally, and only a close observer can discern their subtle differences.

Sahjara's Helveri
This Helveri possesses a direct connection to the flames of Cruternum and turns them against anyone who dares to stand in their way. Within them burns an inner flame incorporated by the Goddess of Cruternum herself, with which this Helveri is said to burn his enemies to ashes.

Talshu's Helveri
This Helveri knows how to disguise themselves and deceive or drive others mad with their illusions. They are particularly tactical and relies on their instincts to wait for the right time to strike. The god of the abyss saves them from the abyss, so that they can let others fall into it.

Cassiel's Helveri
This Helveri can quickly cause mischief amongst others, and with their innate abilities, they usually get away with it. Cassiel himself ensures that others can be easily fooled by this Helveri, and one should not underestimate them for that reason.

Tin's Helveri

Kedes Helveri
This Helveri can easily cause others great harm with his natural talents. A hostile encounter with this Helveri will bring one a very slow and agonizing death. With the help of the Goddess of Pain and Sorrow, this individual ensures that others suffer usually just for their own benefit.

Sombra's Helveri
This Helveri becomes one with the shadows and is extremely difficult to track. It seems as if they attract the shadows around them and can shape them to their will. The God of Shadows is on their side and this Helveri ensures that soon there will be nothing but darkness for their enemies.

Lucifer's Helveri
This Helveri is extremely charming and is particularly good with words. But their words can quickly be your demise, and before you know it you will be tricked by them. Just like the god of Hubris, this Helveri can seduce others with just one word and make them their puppet.
