Lezzenee Desert
In the eastern most part of the world, separated by the TBD mountains, lies the Lezzenee Desert. The Desert is a literal wasteland, sand and rock as far as the eye can see. There is no transition from the mountains to the desert, it just...begins. The same can be said if entering the desert from the ocean instead. Temperatures in the desert are boiling hot during the day, and freezing cold at night. A few foolhardy explorers have noted that at certain points in the desert lie areas where the sand has gotten so hot, it has literally turned to glass. The glass can be seen from miles around as a beacon. While some had thought to use those as landmarks, the wind of the desert often covers them up to make them inconsistent at best, dangerous at worst.
Myths of old tell the tale of Titans that ruled the lands. Fantastic creatures, the size of mountains fought over what is now the Lezzenee Desert. The myths vary in type with some bards telling the story as beast like Titans battling it out with teeth, fangs, and tentacles. Other bards sing the tales of Titans fighting as more modern day warriors with titan sized sword, spear, and shield. Myths also vary over why the Titans fought. Some say it was a simple battle of supremacy. Others state the eons lasting battles were fought over something extremely powerful. Some say it was a weapon, the TBD. Others say it was a fight over the fledgling gods that stood to possess the world. Others claim it was a battle over the very first dragon egg. Other variations exist, but these three variations tend to bring bards the most coin, so that it what is told.
Some adventurers and explorers have tried to explore the desert; searching for treasure, searching for knowledge, or just to explore. Very few return, and those that do have discovered nothing to make them want to return. There is a rumor that one person was saved by a desert people, but it's been discounted as heat madness. A few foolhardy have tried crossing the entire desert. Known attempts have been made by foot, beast, and through the air. No known person has made it.
