This date, thought to be the unofficial founding of the order, marks the date whereupon three brothers, Astav, Tristyval, and Richelieu held a secret meeting with several of their most trusted friends. Originally, they endeavored to stage a coup against a neighboring power, but in some way or another, the conversation turned to an artifact known as the Ring of Truth. At the meeting's conclusion, the group made a solemn oath to recover the Ring of Truth. With it, they swore to expunge the corruption that plagued the lands of their father and beyond.

As the story went, a friend of the brothers, Astav, Tristyval, and Richelieu, knew of an artifact that his uncle had told him about. An object he had heard tales about in his travels abroad. Legends of the ring cite many different origins, but how the ring came to be mattered not. For its power was the ability to slay the lying tongue. Indeed, a Ring of Truth allows the wearer to detect lies, in addition to a series of other traits according to folktale. With this ring, the would-be could root out corrupt officials from both the court of the brother's father, but also the courts and holds of all of Alabast. This idea clung to Tristyval's heart, and though the ring was not initially their goal, it was Tristyval's curiosity that eventually made it so. At the meeting's conclusion, the group made a solemn oath to recover the Ring of Truth. With it, they swore to expunge the corruption that plagued the lands of their father and beyond.   It is said that the group continued to meet several times a month in secret to research and strategize methods through which to achieve their goals. Corrupt officials permeated their day to day lives, and thus the meeting were carried out in secluded, or otherwise isolated locations and establishments. At these meetings, they group would discuss and seek out those who might be sympathetic to their cause. Asking for contributions in the way of either providing shelter for such gatherings, or by providing much needed man power. These meetings would eventually relocate to the Greenwood Fen. A woodland located near the western coast of Central Alabast. Old records from nearby settlements indicate that the brothers and their friends would frequent Greenwood Fen in the summer and fall. Though the group's official excuse were fraternal hunting trips, it's undeniable that they took this time to prepare and discuss their plans.
