The White Lady

The White Lady is a powerful deity that is worshiped on many planets across The Universe. Her followers believe in healing the sick, helping the poor, and spreading love (both platonic and romantic) across their worlds. She is the enemy of evil deities and forces everywhere, and holds a special ire for The Black King.     The Council of Light   The council is made of powerful beings that worship The White Lady and advise her on matters. They also serve as representatives and she sometimes sends them in her place to interact with mortals. They usually are entrusted with a small part of her power. Most members of the council are former deities that have since come to serve The White Lady. It's known members include:
  • Alaphion the Healer
  • Galrana the Watcher
  • Zelane the Night Lady
  • Mara
  • Saint Catherine
Relationship with other deities   The White Lady is on good terms with the majority of other goodly and neutral deities. She doesn't try to poach other deities followers and even encourages her own followers to learn of all the other religions in their region and make the best decision for themselves. While initially hesitant of the "foreigner", the deities of Algaress now welcome her warmly to their divine realms and councils, as they know of her involvement in the imprisonment of The Black King and ending The Year of Darkness.
  • The Warrior and The Soldier both hold her in high regard after she saved them.
  • She has an agreement with Saint Catherine of Keponarth, in which they provide magical support for each others followers in their realms.
  • She does not have much of a relationship with her brother Marcanath. His city Teramund goes largely undisturbed by the other deities at her insistence.
  • She despises The Baron in particular because of his endorsement and encouragement of slavery, but does not consider him a real threat to her being.
  • She opposes Asmodeus and warns her followers of his trickery, knowing he now desires to escape his agreement and plunge the universe into its end days.
  • She opposes The Black King, and has expressed that he is one of the few beings in existence that is unredeemable. The Black King hates her more than any other deity, as she has thwarted him multiple times.

Personal history

746 BYD: A time traveling priest from Algaress known as Matthias arrives in Kalasi's divine realm after being killed by a lich on Jannat. Kalasi invites him to tea and sandwiches, and she views his memories and knowledge of the future. Matthias offers to help save her world, but she declines, explaining that the loss of her world would lead to the imprisonment of The Black King in the future, and though that was personally devastating for her, that the universe as a whole would be better off with The Black King imprisoned.   482 BYD: Alexis Ironston, Amaya Stonetree, and Sarah Watchman are born to the union of Cassandra Trent and Max Ironston.   436 BYD: Marcanath and The Black King enact a foul ritual, causing almost all of Jannat to forget about Kalasi's existence. Kalasi falls into a coma, very weakened from the sudden lack of worship and the disconnect from all of her followers. This paves the way for the two gods to go to war against the other deities of Jannat. Marcanath destroys the Sun Scepter, allowing The Black King to manifest himself on Jannat.   437 BYD: The chosen of Ona, Qualim, and Kalasi (Alexis Ironston, Amaya Stonetree, and Sarah Watchman) along with a handful of their supporters, flee a dying Jannat with Kalasi's comatose form, instructed to rebuild her faith on the world of Algaress. Kalasi awakens from her coma when they arrive, rebranding herself as The White Lady. The three chosen help her in this endeavor, meeting with the King of Dhalmass constructing the first temple to The White Lady in the city known as The Citadel. The three chosen are henceforth referred to as great sages, and their magical might helps to both spread the faith, and build Dhalmass into a magical kingdom.   435 BYD: Marcanath arrives on Algaress, greatly weakened from his own losses to The Black King and the betrayal of his most powerful followers. He brought with him his last city, Teramund. The White Lady surprised Marcanath in the city, and she forgave him, but warned him not to interfere in her business. Out of love for her brother, she asked the other deities of Algaress to leave him alone and let him rule his city as a God-King, like they currently did with Tivel.   419 BYD: The White Lady, Zelane The Night Lady, Galrana The Watcher, and Alaphion The Healer meet. The White Lady convinces them to join her and they agree, slowly transitioning their followers over to her worship. How she accomplished this is unknown to anyone but them.   The Year of Darkness: During The Year of Darkness, The White Lady was quite busy. Though she could not directly convene with her followers on Algaress, she was able to reach out to The Ancient Algaressian Sages via their own private world, and instruct them on how to seal away The Black King for good, as well as what it would cost (their freedom). She also had them save the corpse of Mara so that she could be resurrected after The Black King was defeated. She also helped to drive The Black King away after he tried to kill The Warrior, and freed The Soldier from his eternal torment.   1 AYD: The White Lady restores Mara because of her commitment to her ideals. Mara agrees to serve The White Lady and helps to transition her followers to The White Lady's worship.
