The Warrior is one of The Children of Jegor and is a popular deity among barbarians and other less civilized people in Algaress.   History   The Warrior, the oldest deity sired by the union of Mother Nature and Jegor, was at his father's side for his youth, learning and honing his skills as the god of war. After this father's death, he grew less studious and more destructive, taking to showing favor to the barbarian tribes as opposed to the more proper students of war.   He resented including The White Lady in the divine court of the human deities, arguing that she was not from Algaress and instead a dangerous outsider who had tricked The Night Lady, The Healer, and The Watchman to give up their power to her.   During The Year of Darkness, The Black King manifested himself on The Fields of Battle, the divine realm of The Warrior, and nearly killed him. The Warrior called for aid, but only The White Lady came, and she drove off The Black King and healed The Warrior. Touched by her thoughtfulness, he changed his position and allowed her on to the divine court. At her request, the two of them traveled to The Great Arena, the holy realm of an older deity of war known as The Soldier. The Soldier, having been imprisoned in his own realm by The Dragon Queen centuries earlier, had been stuck in endless battles with the evil spirits of dead dragons that had been sent there to torture him. After the pair defeated the dragons, they freed The Soldier and brought him and his followers to The Fields of Battle, where the two gods of war agreed to split their domains and followers, and share the divine realm, so as to strengthen them both. From then on, The Soldier represented the more lawful and organized parts of war, and The Warrior represented the more chaotic and destructive nature of war.   Relationship with other deities   The Warrior counts Asmodeus and The Black King as his primary enemies. He is concerned of the growing influence of Asmodeus across the world (for barbarians are just as likely to worship devils and demons as him), and he seeks the destruction of The Black King after he was nearly killed by him during The Year of Darkness.   The Warrior shares his divine realm with The Soldier, and they have had many fantastic battles over the centuries. They are friends and rivals, but not enemies.   The Warrior is not on friendly terms with the rest of the human pantheon, but holds The White Lady in high esteem, as she is the only one who came to his aid in his time of need.
