History The Soldier was one of the first human deities on Algaress. He was very popular amongst the humans until 1800 BYD when he is attacked by The Dragon Queen. Rather then killing him, she imprisons him in his divine realm, The Great Arena, and takes control of the plane. She forces The Soldier and his followers to fight the evil souls of her departed dragons, in an endless one sided battle where the humans keep losing, over and over again, but never dying, only suffering great pain and torment.   Unfortunately, this did not end with the imprisonment of The Dragon Queen in 730 BYD, as the Metallic Council was unaware of The Soldier's existence, and thus did not know that he needed to be freed.   The Soldier was finally freed from The Great Arena by The Warrior and The White Lady during The Year of Darkness. He took his followers and moved to The Fields of Battle, where he and The Warrior agreed to share the domain of war. As repayment to The White Lady, he gave up his divinity briefly to travel down to Algaress and help lead the goodly armies there. After the defeat of The Black King, he returned to the The Fields of Battle and started to rebuild his faith.   Relationship with other deities   The Soldier counts Asmodeus, The Black King, and The Dragon Queen as his primary enemies. He does not trust Asmodeus and understands that Asmodeus would see the world destroyed if he could rule over the ashes. The Soldier lead the armies of good during The Year of Darkness, helping to defeat The Black King and save Algaress. As he was imprisoned by The Dragon Queen and forced to suffer under her dragons for centuries, he still considers her an enemy, and has lobbied The Metallic Council to be allowed to kill her once and for all, to no avail.   The Soldier shares his divine realm with The Warrior, and they have had many fantastic battles over the centuries. They are friends and rivals, but not enemies.
