The Baron is a cruel, sadistic deity, primarily worshipped in The Kingdom of Jegoria. The Baron is one of The Children of Jegor.
Personality and Teachings
The Baron is easily the least liked and most hated of the deities in Algaress. Like The Blessed One before him, The Baron preaches about the divine right to rule, and that the noble class should have more power over the peasants. Prosperity and Wealth are signs of The Baron's favor, and if one works hard, obeys authority figures, and tithes appropriately, they will see these things in their life. The Baron further preaches the importance of ancestry and bloodlines, and shuns the mixing of the races, of which humans are the most superior. He further claims that the wicked who oppose him will not be granted a favorable afterlife, but instead are brought back as the poorest members of society, therefore it is okay to treat these people poorly as they were wicked in their past life, and only through hard work and pulling themselves up by their bootstraps, will these people eventually be able to enter The Baron's Kingdom. This has to be done alone, without help from others, The Baron does not believe in handouts, only hard work.
In the communities where he is openly worshiped, The Baron spreads fear and mistrust. His followers encourage people to report anything out of the ordinary to them first, and to keep eyes on their neighbors and report wrongdoings or actions against the faith to the clergy. Enemies of The Baron can often be found murdered in their beads, their heads removed from their bodies.
Relationship with other deities
The Baron is actively opposed by The Noble as their viewpoints are opposite of each other, and The White Lady, who finds him to be cruel and unnecessary in a universe that's so filled with hurt and evil already. The rest of the human pantheon does not care for him either. He has no friends among the other evil deities as well, as they tend to be more chaotic and self centered. The only entity that The Baron has any real working relationship with is Asmodeus, as both believe in law and order, and rule of the weak by the strong.
