Feyre's Father had a thriving business that was The Archon's Gem was transporting some valuable goods but went missing along the Mason Coast. The value of these goods were significant and it put Feyre's father into tremendous debt that he had no ability to recover from. He lost everything and had to move to the Smear's District, doing what work he could to keep his family from falling further into nothingness.
