Scavengers
The Scavengers are a group of adventurers who want to acquire as many magical artifacts as they can to resell to museums and high end buyers. They will purchase artifacts at a “reasonable rate” and then take them away to sell off.
Rules
- Bring magical artifacts to the Scavengers. If you are not bringing anything to the Scavengers, your rank can be dropped and you may lose all access to the gap.
- Don't cross the law - publically. For serious offenses, we will drop rank.
- Don't cross us - we will drop rank. You could also die.
- You don't have to share where you get your stuff, but don't destroy it - this is historical stuff that we want to preserve.
Structure
Loosely organized. They give eager adventurers permission to enter Thalmoris Gap in exchange for purchasing magical artifacts of interest to sell to the highest bidder.
Ranks
In the Scavengers' organization, they have ranks that they give to members. Each rank comes with benefits and better deals on selling magical artifacts.Rank 1: Chowder
Called thus because they are not expected to last long in the Gap, Chowders are the noobies that are flooding into the Thalmoris Gap and eager to find all sorts of magical goodies. Nothing special is given to Chowders, except permission to go across the Bridge. Losing this rank means removal from the Gap.Rank 2: Salvager
After you bring in a few items, you're now a Salvager. Congrats, you survived a bit. Salvagers gain the benefits of a better rate for their artifacts, and respect from others in the Scavenger camp.Rank 3: Relic Hunter
At this point, you are hunting for glorious items. You have the respect of the Scavengers. You earn a good deal on selling magical artifacts, and get a discount on rooms at the Treasure Trove in the Bastion.Public Agenda
To make magic mundane. They want to sell magical artifacts to those who are very interested in them and willing to pay for their retrieval.
