Personal history

Diamond was born crown princess of Parenna to King Julen and Queen Saris Andromeda. While Julen was frequently occupied with matters of state and after Diamond's sister Onyx was born Saris spent a lot of her attention helping Onyx control her Allure abilities, Diamond still spent a lot of time with both of her parents. Julen made every effort to include Diamond in political meetings and discussions so she'd grow familiar with it, and Saris spent as much time with both her daughters as she could, schooling them and doing her best to counterbalance Julen's poor moral influence.
When Diamond was seven, Julen killed her mother by mistake. Around the same time, he became more focused on grooming Diamond for politics and began abusing Onyx physically and verbally for being mute. Diamond was pulled away from her sister and had to fight for time with her. She's been fighting ever since and using the knowledge her father has given her for political purposes to plan a way to undermine his rule and put someone more moral in his place.

Mental Trauma

She still bears the grief of her mother's death.
