The Listener in the Dark

The Listener in the Dark is the patron goddess of the Changelings and the goddess of Song and Murder. She is the representation of the two sides of the Changelings' performance, their need to be themselves facing off with the expectations of society, shown in the modern day between roguish nature and taking to the arts. Outsiders may notice that neither side of the goddess' domain sounds especially free for the Changelings, but they do have an extended history of cultural confusion with freedom, at one point being enslaved in a galactic empire.
The Listener in the Dark is a goddess and not a deity, meaning they have no physical form or representation and instead are a symbolic view of a world phenomenon. Some artists still worship the goddess outside of the Changelings.
