Reigar

Reigar were once cephalopods similar to octopi, but were empowered by connection to The One Above All. They inhabited the stormy seas of a distant watery planet until they were blessed with Celestial energy. Reigar now reside among the stars or within Heven.
Reigar have bioluminescent freckles and the ability to change the coloration of their skin. A glory (or halo) surrounds each of them. This magical display is a cloud of twinkling, glittering motes that changes color randomly and repels attacks. They're rare and known mostly as some of The One Above All's most faithful servents, serving above the Aasimar.

Warrior Nature

Gifted with audacious hearts, reigar emerged from distant seas to test their mettle on land. Many fight for The One Above All in distant lands in search of glory and fame. Many as well are driven to artistic pursuits, but each reigar has their own notion of what constitutes art. For some, warfare is the highest form of artistic endeavor. Other reigar create art of a more benign nature.

Light Travelers

Reigar wander space in search of artistic inspiration, traveling in symbiotic ships that they create. These ships are near invisible, looking like just slight shifts of light to the average non-reigar.
Each reigar possesses a magic item called a talarith, which it created and to which it alone can attune. If this object is lost or destroyed, it takes months to forge a new one.
