The Province of Zaramoor

The Province of Zaramoor is the second major power of the continent of Scala, constantly fighting against the Kalos Dominion for control over the land. Believing in the ancient beast-headed gods of Osirion, Zaramoor ekes out a living within the deserts, valleys, and jungles of Scala's mainland, ruled by their Pharaoh and each of the gods' High Priests. They control the Five Deserts and the Golden Path as well.

Structure

• Pharaoh: The lord of all Zaramoor and the collective manifestation of the gods' wills, Pharaoh is a gender-neutral term and they ruler by either birthright or by being chosen of the gods.
• The Dragoman: These are the interpreters and communicators with the gods, otherwise known as Heralds.

Demography and Population

These are the many deserts that reside within the continent of Scala, forged by a number of dragons and their tyranny during the War of Embers:

• The Shard Sands Aur'res (Red): This desert, forged by the fires of the red dragons, is filled with pockets of black shards of glass formed by their flame. Sandstorms create these large torrents of glass that can shred apart caravans and blind travellers, known as "Shardstorms".
• The Storm Sands of Hassan (Blue): This desert's climate has been irrevocably changed by the presence of blue dragons, constant clouds reigning over the sky that range from calm overcast to harsh torrential storms.
• The Ibn Pale (White): This desert holds nothing but cold, pale sands and deep snows at the high mountaintops of the Dragon Scars, the constant chill born from the tyranny of White Dragons. The nights are nearly impossible to survive due to the temperatures it reaches, some people freezing to death solid within certain regions of the Pale.
• The Pooled Desert of Rabiah (Black): This black, dead land is filled with weak rocks and pools of acid born from Black Dragons, making it monstrously difficult to traverse without risk of falling through the cracks into a boiling pool.
• The Wetland Desert of Nané (Green): This patch of swamp and wetland is home to sulfuric swamp waters and mutated biology at the hands of the gas and poison of the Green Dragons, poisonous green mist making the swamp harsh to traverse through. This area houses yuan-ti.
• The Golden Path: This pure golden desert serves as the road between all the Five Deserts and their many civilizations. It also holds the River Sphynx which many use to traverse up and down the continent. 

These are the many capital cities of the various gods of Osirion:

• Zara: Also known as the Peak of the Gods, the city of Zara is the capital of the entire province and is built right over where the River Sphynx widens the largest, serving as both city and bridge between the two halves of the land. This makes it a colossal trading hub for all peoples of Zaramoor and a boiling pot for many cultures. The Pharoah rules from the Seat of Kings and Queens.
• Hazur: The capital city of Hazoret.
• Bonu'rot: The capital city of Bontu.
• Keref: The capital city of Kefnet.
• O'Kahtra: The capital city of Oketra.
• Rho'nasaad: The capital city of Rhonas.
• Farthurus: A city covered in storms filled with all manner of beast-folk and animal-folk.
• Tarbasta: A city within Zaramoor controlled by the tabaxi and leonin Bast Tribes that rule over and border the Bay of Leone.
• Paior: A city within Zaramoor.
• Rini: A village by the long river within Zaramoor.
• Khek: A village within Zaramoor.

These regions reside outside of the normal civilizations of Zaramoor.

• Run-hirah: This is the badlands that reside at the base of the Eye of Aldreesi volcano, inhabited by the ancient clans of the descendants of Sekhmet's divine warriors of the same name.
• The Eye of Aldreesi: A colossal volcano that eats up most of the northern lands, its black smoke constantly rising to cloak the earth in the shadow of its boiling clouds.
• Black Sands of Savanoor: An expanse of volcanic black desert bordering the great volcano known as the Eye of Aldreesi, home to amazonian tribes of fire genasi, fire giants, and earth genasi. The lands black volcanic sand makes for fertile soil, allowing an expansive jungle to grow to the west of the desert.
