The Pirates of Skullwater Bay

The Pirates of Skullwater Bay are a number of different pirate crews that are active all over the Mornish Coast, battling against the Iron Whales and stealing cargo, ransoming captured officers, and sinking ships.

Structure

• The Tendril Lords and the Bloat Shrike: This group of aquatic and aberrant crewmembers is led by Captain Zin'veriak Stahl, an illithid who broke away from the Elder Brain active in the Underdark. They are capable of sinking underwater and reappearing to dodge cannon fire, change position, or flee a losing battle.
• The Ivy Men and the Creeper Rove: This group of fey pirates is led by dryad Captain Ivy Morace, capable of using sea-plants, algae, and vines to drag vessels into the sea, form lines to board other ships.
• The Siren and the Songs: This all-female group of pirates is led by the siren Captain Wylla End-Singer, who steals cargo by controlling their officers with her legendary song and charming them, taking only the most valuable pieces and the most valuable crew members such as captains and noblemen.
• The Dead Men and the Revenant Vow: This group of undead pirates is led by the ancient Demilich Captain Tarclay, who infused his soul into the ship as his phylactery, giving it self-regenerating powers and making it a monstrous tank in a head-on ship battle. He scavenges the dead souls of those slain on the sea and conscripts them to his crew, seeking vengeance for their deaths before they come to eternally serve him. Orders are given by his first mate: Bower Bones.
