Orkindraim

Orkindraim is a legendary elven curved sword that was created by the legendary elven smith, Karlon Damascus. It was forged by the elven blacksmith out of an initial need for vengeance against the Dominus Zahm the Feybane, after he killed Karlon's eldest daughter at the time, Amen Damascus, also known as Amen the White, Aya'danu's Consort Alabast.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

Orkindraim is a magical +1 scimitar and requires attunement. Attack and damage rolls made with this weapon gain a +1 bonus, but if the target is of the Orc or Goblin subtype, the weapon's bonus increases to +3.   If attuned by an Elf or Half-Elf, the sword can also cast the following spells once a day each: Faerie Fire, Hunter's Mark, and Guiding Bolt. The Spell Save DC is 17 and the Spell Attack Bonus is +9.   Orc's Curse (1/Short Rest) Once per short rest, you can call upon the power of the sword to magically aid your assault against the enemy. Your attack rolls are made with Advantage until your next successful hit, and upon suffering damage the enemy must make a DC 17 Constitution Saving Throw or suffer 3d10 necrotic damage, halved on a successful save.    If the target is an Orc, they make this save at Disadvantage and suffer 6d10 necrotic damage or half on a successful save, and their maximum HP is permanently decreased by the amount of necrotic damage they suffered. Only a Remove Curse, Heal, or Greater Restoration spell may remove this effect.

Raw materials & Components
The handle of Orkindraim is made from the wood of the original Colonade that Karlon took with him during the Siege of Collonwood, which would be known in the modern-day as the Cinderwood. The blade is formed of annealed Fey Steel with powerful Fey Runes etched into its side by Sca'hah herself, representing powers to bring misfortune and pain to those who feel the sting of its blade. Its handle is wrapped with orc's hair and tanned orc's leather, the bones set at the crossguard and pommel coated in liquified and re-annealed Fey Steel, binding the luck and misfortune spells of the sword to only effect those with the same hair, skin, blood, and bone as the Orc.
