Conella (a.k.a. Leiland, Lee, Sunsetter)

Leiland "Conella" Sunsetter is a changeling mercenary and criminal, as well as the daughter of Stencain and Uthena and the grandson of the Archfey Sca'hah the Maiden of No Relent. Having spent a significant time in the Shadowfell, Leiland developed a complex array of powers that turn her ghostly and ethereal, allowing her advantages that other rogues do not have when combined with his body-changing abilities.

Personal history

Leiland was born "Conella" to the human warrior Stencain and Uthena, daughter of the Archfey Sca'hah. Upon the death of her father at the hands of Morganna and the slow decline and eventual passing of her mother to follow, Conella was raised by her grandmother and sheltered for most of her life from the Court of Night as well as the other courts. While this allowed him to be taught to be a superior combatant and warrior, it ultimately drew resentment towards her overbearing grandmother and to the people who caused the deaths of her parents.
Eventually, she struck out on her own and began working for the other Courts as a mercenary, performing jobs that other Courts needed to be done and playing off each of their needs and desires. her would take him to the Shadowfell, where she would encounter and master the art of phantom-style, a practice of necromancy that allows one to draw upon the life energies of their foes, become incorporeal and utilize other abilities normally reserved for the fully undead. This experience took a toll on his soul and his emotional well-being however, as the Shadowfell naturally causes the soul to deteriorate and its holder to lose their emotions or ambitions, become cold and logical until they eventually lose their will to live and become soulless.
While Leiland has not come to that point, she has little empathy for others and this had led him to commit atrocious acts that others would find repulsive, such as torture and other malevolent deeds. She has since been commissioned by the returned wizard Theloneous Thrall and his mind-flayer assistant Iavhoxas to bring them a Changeling like himself so that they may experiment upon it to build and secure a new body for Thrall to reside in. To kill two birds with some stone, she decided to kidnap the changeling son of Morganna, Crowe, along with her gang of five child witnesses that she has sought to sell or otherwise use in his line of work.
