House Urth'aile

House Urth'aile was an ancient family whose kings ruled over the old Kingdom of Urth'aile before the Sonoran Succession. Its kings ranged from weak to cunning to brave to utterly selfish, running the gambit until they fell and were overtaken.

Structure

  • Moros Urth'aile:
  • Eustace Urth'aile: Eustace Urth'aile was a king who had aspirations of expanding his kingdom to consume the human and the elven lands, and nearly succeeded with the power of his armies. It wasn't until the historic alliance between the Elves and the Dwarves that the Urth'aile kingdom loss the fight against their unified force, and Eustace was forced to give his two youngest children as wards to each kingdom. Tierney was sent to the Elves, and Cethern was sent to the Dwarves.
  • Cethern Urth'aile:
  • Tierney Urth'aile: Sent to live with the Elves of Nyth Noelle, Tierney was raised with constant abuse and criticism over her human lineage, eventually forced into an arranged marriage with the house's eldest son and elven general, Lianthorn. A sadistic torturer and sadist, Lianthorn physically and psychologically tortured Tierney to the point of self-harm, and she almost ended her own life before being saved by Sehanine and her personal guard finding her brother her death. She became a devout follower of the Moonweaver and escaped with the help of her guard and a handmaiden, reuniting with her brother and fleeing to the west.
  • Gwenlain Urth'aile: A warrior and paladin to the Raven Queen, Gwenlain was sensible enough to realize that she was a warlord and combatant much like her father, and instead abdicated her claim to the throne so her brother Cethern could rule, whilst she served as Counselor of War for many years.
  • Iansaum Urth'aile: The second last of the kings and older brother of James, Iansaum was a kind king who had a love for elven culture and their way of life. He sought to marry a woman by the name of Uridia, but his brother sought to her demise and Iansaum ended up walking into the great lake now known as the King's Weep, drowning himself in sorrow.
  • Jame Urth'aile: The last of the Urth'aile kings, Jame usurped his brother after orchestrating his demise. His rule was contested by an uprising of the people and he was dethroned during the Sonoran Succession, led by Azran Sonora who killed him in a final duel to the death.
