Those who die from old age, disease, and other non-combat related reasons, all come here to be judged and placed.

History

The whole of Ymir is actually formed from the fossilized corpse of a titan, whom the denizens named that name and belief is the source of all life on the realm. From giants to elves to humans to gods, they all hold presence there.   When Ymir was slain eons ago, Odin and the others who first arrived upon the world were quick to take credit for fashioning the realm from his corpse. Word spread of how they made the land from his flesh, the ocean from his blood, the mountains from his bones, the trees from his hair, and the clouds and the heavens from his mind. This was the first step to Odin solidifying his power as ruler of the Aesir gods.   However, the Vanir, another tribe of deities native to the land, took umbrage with the sudden colonization of their land. Before long the War of the Gods began between both clans, ending with the unifying marriage of Freya to bring their tribes together.
