Ajira's Rod

Ajira's Rod is a Pelorian artifact once wielded by one of the Dawnfather's most devout followers, the paladin Ajira. Some of his bones were placed in the hilt of his mace, becoming the relic, and it glows, removes disease, and regenerates its wielder.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

Ajira's Rod is a +2 holy mace that can be used as a holy symbol in regards to casting spells. This item requires attunement by a druid, cleric, or paladin aligned to Pelor. All spells cast using this symbol get a +2 bonus to spell attacks and your spell save DC increases by 2 while attuned to this item.   While attuned to this item, the wielder regains 1d8 hit points every 10 minutes and, if they are missing a limb, may regenerate that limb over the course of 1d6+1 days.   Additionally, the wielder can use the Paladin's Lay On Hands Ability, gaining a healing pool of 3 x their cleric, paladin, or druid level. This extra amount of HP is separate from a Paladin's normal Lay On Hands pool, and they may use an Action to heal a target they touch any number of HP from the pool or spend 5 HP to cure one poison or disease affecting a target. They may cure multiple effects at once so long as they spend 5 HP for each affliction. The Rod's pool regains an amount of HP equal to the wielder's level each dawn.
