The Great Painting

It is said that the world’s existence, history, and future are recorded among the cosmos in a great, never-ending painting. Everyone who has ever lived, and ever will live, is believed to leave a “brushstroke” on this great painting, and The Strokes are a reference to this phenomenon. Diviners and soothsayers, particularly among the Ever Seers are said to be able to read The Strokes in order to divine the future and better understand the past.
There are some throughout history who reside outside the Great Painting. In legend and Lore they are referred to as Pictorum, or those who paint. These figures can have a massive impact on the world, as they are not simply brushstrokes, but the painters.
Manifestation
Physical representations of The Great Painting are littered around the world. Archaeologists, Diviners, and the like have the ability to interpret these fragments of The Great Painting and have found them prophetic in nature. When manifested in the physical realm, often carved into the ruins left by the Uzfan Empire and many occasions the ruins of where Deamonne's Invasion took deep root, The Great Painting is often referred to as the Dragon Prophecy.
