Wandering Master
Wandering through the wilderness or through the occasional small town, these very special types of Rangers have been the cause of most martial arts spreading past the borders of the Shao. Obsessed with the perfection and study of martial arts, they adopt and adapt numerous styles to their repertoire, preferring to learn what they can from their teachers and leave to develop the art further on their own. These rangers often find themselves embedded in the numerous animal forms of martial arts, as beyond teaching from humans they can often learn from the animals themselves.
Role
The Wandering Master, unlike most Rangers, doesn't have an aversion to people. They can often be found not only righting wrongs with righteous fists of fury, but also teaching their art or arts to those they deem worthy. Because they take such a hard stance against evil they never stay in the same place for long, preferring their students to be their only social attachments. In order to keep their students safe they will often teach in secret, possibly donning a disguise or a false identity entirely in order to not tip any enemies off to a weakness that an untrained student inevitably becomes. A Wandering Master is often found attempting to do the most good possible, so their presence in an adventuring party on a righteous quest is not unusual.

Special Benefits
A Wandering Master often branches out to fighting styles. A wandering master has 1 Weapon Specialization in unarmed combat for free. The wandering master may NOT spend more weapon proficiencies to enhance this style (they may not train additional moves or enhance moves that are already trained). Instead, the wandering master may specialize in other unarmed combat styles for half the cost, however, they may never have access to Exclusive styles. The wandering master spends half the time listed to specialize in any unarmed combat.
Special Hindrances
Because of their intensive training in their art, Wandering Masters do not receive the Two Weapon Style Specialization other Rangers get for free. They are more than welcome to specialize in it on their own. In addition, Wandering Masters are not able to build a Stronghold, preferring instead to build a school, but often only to place a trusted pupil at the head of it and continue on their own path. As a Ranger, they are never able to learn any Martial Art that is inherently evil.

A Wandering Master can be of any race, but might find acquiring trusted pupils difficult if they are a demi-human among some of the more narrow-minded communities in Alcyria.
