Werewolf

Werewolves are supernatural creatures native to the continent of Alboric, afflicted by an ancient curse known as Moonblight. Those who suffer from Moonblight periodically transform into a monstrous, wolf-like humanoid, losing control to their heightened instincts and bloodlust. While many believe that werewolves only change under a full moon, transformations are far more unpredictable, often triggered by strong emotions or the scent of blood.
Despite the dangers posed by Moonblight, not all cultures view it as a curse. Among The Northern Clans, werewolves are revered as divine champions, chosen by their gods to become fearsome warriors. To them, Moonblight is not a disease but a blessing—one that grants enhanced strength, heightened senses, and an unparalleled ferocity in battle.
However, outside the North, werewolves are widely feared as a scourge upon the land. Their insatiable thirst for blood has made them a target for many monster-hunting organizations, including The Dawn Wardens, who view Moonblight as a threat that must be purged. Hunters and scholars alike seek ways to suppress or cure the affliction, though no known remedy exists—only death can end the curse once it has taken hold.
