Ecclesia Cridhe
Founded in 79 L'ere de L'aube by noted Avalonian scholar Mathghaman Sauvage II, Ecclesia Cridhe (Common trans. Church of Cridhe)
Mythology & Lore
It is said that while exploring Avalon in the late days of the early hours of the world, Cridhe Loch Fae came across an orchard of bones overlooking a vast expanse of jagged stone. Cridhe plucked seven fruits from seven trees and administered her kiss to each, instilling them with life and death in equal measure. Thus began the Inmortui: the lost souls of Anima who ascend from death into unlife and set off down Cridhe’s path of introspection, reflection, and divine purpose in hope of a second life in Anima.
Divine Origins
The Inmortui were created from bonefruit harvested in the modern-day holy shrine of Os Pomarium by Cridhe Loch Fae to oversee the lost souls of Anima throughout the journey of Le Pèlerinage. Over time, the Sauvage siblings (collective: "Septem Sauvage") Swore themselves to the other high houses of Anima, creating new and unique variegations (ie: Animortui, earliest record King Treasach Sauvage of Imortui) and populating Anima with the unliving as well as the living.
