Spellcasting. Emberina is a 10th-level spellcaster. Her spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 16, +8 to hit with spell attacks). She can cast the following spells:

  • Cantrips (at will): control flames, dancing lights, fire bolt, green-flame blade, light, prestidigitation
  • 1st level (4 slots): absorb elements, burning hands, chromatic orb, command, detect magic, feather fall, shield
  • 2nd level (3 slots): alter self, dragon's breath, enhance ability, misty step, scorching ray
  • 3rd level (3 slots): dispel magic, fear, fly, fireball, haste, melf's minute meteors
  • 4th level (3 slots): arcane eye, charm monster, fire shield, wall of fire
  • 5th level (2 slots): immolation, legend lore, summon dragon


Dragon Ancestor. Whenever Emberina makes a Charisma check when interacting with dragons, her proficiency bonus is doubled if it applies to the check.   Draconic Resilience. When not wearing armor, Emberina's AC equals 13 plus her Dexterity modifier.   Elemental Affinity. When Emberina casts a spell that deals fire damage, she adds 4 fire damage to one damage roll of that spell.   Sorcery Points (10/Day). Emberina has a number of sorcery points, which she can use to fuel the following abilities. She can only add on effect to a spell at a time (unless otherwise stated):

  • Magical Guidance. When Emberina makes an ability check that fails, she can spend 1 sorcery point to reroll the D20, and must use the new roll.
  • Empowered Spell. When Emberina rolls damage for a spell, she can spend 1 sorcery point to reroll up to 4 of the damage dice. She must use the new rolls (this ability can be used alongside other options).
  • Heightened Spell. When Emberina cast a spell that forces a creature to make a saving throw to resist its effects, she can spend 3 sorcery points to give one target of the spell disadvantage on its first saving throw made against the spell.
  • Quickened Spell. When Emberina casts a spell that has a casting time of 1 action, she can spend 2 sorcery points to change the casting time to 1 bonus action for this casting.

Actions

Personal history

Emberina grew up in Wesdale, the daughter of Calcifer and Sophie Larkman. He childhood was quite normal at first, however eventually she began to develop sorcerous powers. It was the development of these powers which made her yearn for a life filled with more excitement and adventure. As a young adult, she took a job as a barmaid at The Faerie Fire Inn, where she met Azar and the two of them decided to join The Knights of Valour in the hopes of realising their shared dream.   As a memebers of the guild, Azar and Emberina routinely worked alongside a third, Benedict Silverthorn, and the trio became famous for numerous heroic deeds, including:
  • Routing out a cult of The Whispered One, causing it to disband.
  • Defeating a ettin, which was cauing trouble in the province.
During this time, Emberina's and Azar's connection grew closer, to the distain of Benedict. Benedict, fuelled by jealousy, revealled himself to be a changeling and member of The Steel Brotherhood, tasked with infiltrating and sabotaging the guild. Benedict abandoned them on a dangerous mission, when they were tasked with exploring the lair of what they later discovered to be a lesser death dragon.   Once they escaped, a fight between Azar and Benedict lead to Benedict disappearing from Wesdale and Azar to develop a distrust of changelings. Emberina and Azar continued to be active memebers of the guild for many years though, eventually retiring after the death of Azar's parents so they could take over the farm.   Emberina and Azar had two children, Sereaphina and Ignatius (twins), who they raised at the farm. As an adventurer, Emberina was fiery and passionate, beloved by all other guild members. Once she became a parent, that passion shifted to her children. There is nothing she wouldn't do to support her Seraphina and Ignatius, whether they want to become scholars, tradespeople, or adventurers like her (when if she woulds secretly love them to follow in her footsteps).
