Waters of Lleith

The remarkable properties of this water, found deep within the elven forests of Fosia, can heal many minor injuries on their own, and as a component in restorative magic can greatly speed and improve the results. The elves guard the source of the stream jelously, and its exact position is unknown, but many have journeyed in, with permission or without, to gain some small amount of this panacea.

Utility

It is very often used to cure the worst of diseases ravaging the wealthy, but beyond that its rarity and cost leave it rather unable to help the many that could truly use it.

Manufacturing

It bubbles naturally out of the ground, surrounded by a fairy ring. It then soaks down a small streambed until it fans out in a depression, where it sinks into the earth. The strongly magical nature of the area is likely the cause of the properties of the water, but they are also likely the reason the area has so many magical monsters.
Access & Availability
Deep within the western portion of the Fosian forests, and surrounded by trecherous woods, the elves prohibit exploration and access to these waters. While they have sent a few voluntary missions to the area, to secure a small supply of their own and to determine the exploitability of the resource. While little has been disclosed to those outside the duchy, the fact that it is still a controlled resource hints at issues.
Discovery
It was discovered, quite by accident, only a couple dozen years ago, by a human that was quite lost and mildly mauled by an owlbear. When he fell into the stream, he regained enough of his strength to fight back and survive. After bottling up a couple liters, he returned to his homeland of Hen Ogledd to spread news of this incredible discovery.
