Dum Turhaem
One of the wealthiest mountain homes of Zhakhzad, and the primary source of truemetal (mithral), in all of Albion, and most of the western half of the The Mainland. Producing a couple tons per year, as well as extracting many many tons of other materials, it is a hub of crafting for those that wish to use this metal.
It also serves as the clan home of the Turhaem, an infulential clan in the eastern half of Zhakhzad, and one of the twelve ruling clans of the dwarven kingdom. Being the second largest city in all Zhakzad makes it a powerful player, though it struggles with trade being a bit far from the nearest navigable waterway.

Demographics
8200 sentient being live here, and it is one of the more diverse dwarven cities, with only 87% of its population being dwarves, with a lot of the rest being gnomes, followed by humans, nearly a whole single percent of elves, and then a mix of others.
Government
Ruled by the Turhaem, specifically the clanmother internally, and the clanfather externally, as normal. They are advised by a council of clan elders and wise people, as is traditional for the dwarves.
Industry & Trade
The primary industry of the mountainhome is, of course, mining. This is mostly done in one large mine, constantly excavating through a very sparse, but comparativley rich, vein of mithral. This actually, in terms of value, yields less than the value of the other materials extracted through this process, but the value of the mithral is extremly helpful.
Infrastructure
A great dwarven road runs all the way to the chain of lakes, which then allows access to the great world sea via a canal and set of locks. The road continues in the other direction to the great world sea but that way is much further.
The city is, as typical for a mountain home, built within a mountain. There is a small camp outside the entrance, just inside the protective wall, that is mostly used by the humans and elves, who may love the easy acess to materials, but are not as favourable about living underground for long periods.
