Domesticated Giant Goats

Domesticated Giant Goats are the primary pack animal of Dwarven Caravans. Well adapted to the mountains, and capable of carrying some 500 lb, they serve as the backbone of the dwarven trade networks. Bred from the more common mountain goat found throughout the Khavkhaz Mountains, these large goats have spread throughout the dwarven world, with a few even escaping to the wild from those locations. They are occasionally used as mounts, but are ill suited to this work, being rather tempermental. In the distant eastern regions of Y Bydd a local, long necked species is used instead.
