Azarketi

Atlantean coastal city in streton collapsed into the ocean by the star fall the rush of magic along with the sudden change in environment transformed the citizens of the city into Azarketi.
The city of Daleburn was a small city on the coast of Streton. It consisted of farmers and fishers both, but due to its placement on a clifftop fishing was limited. When the Star Fell on Streton there was a blast of energy and tremendous earthquakes. The earth shaking and blast combined together to destroy large sections of the Streton coast, Daleburn was one such location. The city and its occupants were awoken to a horrible shaking and cracking sound as the cliffs around them crumbled into the ocean. The city now fragmented into two large sections has settled on the ocean floor a mile off the new coast of Streton.
The people of Daleburn who were lucky enough to survive the collapse of the city found themselves transformed, the energy which accompanied the earthquake forcibly changing their bodies to adapt to the life underwater. The transformation gave the humans the ability to breath and live underwater, stronger bodies to resist the pressures they exist in. The changes however also brought with them difficulties, as those who attempted to return to the surface found themselves unable to survive outside the water for more than a day. With the knowledge that they were forever transformed and unable to return to their old lives the Daleburn residents took a new name upon themselves and began to create new lives for themselves in their new home. The name they chose was based upon a creature of folktales, an aquatic hunter who was said to drag sailors to their deaths, the Azarketi.
The Azarketi city has since grown to double the size of Daleburn, and focuses on hunting and exploring the ocean floor around them. The city itself was fractured in the fall into the ocean, most of it settled on the ocean floor but a small section settled instead on a cliff much closer to the shore.
