Adventuring in the Yuria Commonwealth

Despite paying homage to the King in Oakbin, the people of the Yuria Commonwealth are often referred to more as a collection of tribes and city-states than a cohesive nation. The western half of Miraxil was left largely broken and desolate after the Desecration wars. Now, small colonies of people have formed in order that they might prosper together and fight back against the encroachment of the wild.   To the south, along the shifting border of the Rak'hel Waste, are the Halanoran people. They are vinters and weavers and are as likely to be skilled with the lute as with the longsword. Their flashy dress and the passion of their people are well known.   In the Mountains of Morashin dwell the miners and crafters. Great dwarven strongholds high in the peaks protect the people from the myriad dangers that call the mountains their home. The wilds here are among the most dangerous in Alatera.   Along the Crystal Coast are traders, fishermen, and seafarers that travel the world whereas further inland, particularly around the capital of Oakbin are the horse lords whose cavalry protects the land.   To the north, near the Sea of Shifting Ice, are the hunters, trappers, and wild people that dwell at the end of the Mountains of Morashin.   Although some consider the elves of Elarden to be part of the Commonwealth, they are a reclusive people and do not care of the politics of humans. Unlike their high elven kin in Ellsenor, much of the rulers and even the cities of Elarden are untouched by outsiders.
