Nogård
The mountain range Metallíc, situated to the north of Dullen, the capital, is often dubbed as one of the most perilous locations on the continent. This is due to it serving as the abode for the majority of metallic dragons inhabiting Alarkdum. However, what remains a hidden secret to many is that nestled deep within the perplexing caves at the pinnacle of the mountain range lies the grand Dwarven city, Nogård.
Following the Cross-World event, attempts were made to establish a Dwarf city in the valley formed by the two lines of mountains comprising Metallíc. The location was chosen for its perceived natural protection. However, their optimism swiftly turned to despair when metallic dragons ravaged everything, leaving behind only ruins for adventurous souls to explore.
From the perspective of the outside world, this marked the demise of most dwarves on the continent. Yet, in reality, a significant faction of these dwarves successfully negotiated with the dragons for their survival. The terms of negotiation cast the dwarves into servitude, crafting exquisite jewelry and trinkets for the dragons to amass in their hoards, in exchange for sanctuary deep within the caves.
Centuries later, this dwarven city remains oppressed, yet able to pursue perfection in their craftsmanship – a cherished aspiration for most dwarves. However, for those yearning for more, tough luck prevails, as none are permitted to leave.
