Guild Raids
Sometimes a massive threat from the wilderness puts one of the cities in massive danger that will cause either the downfall of the city of thousands of deaths, or an opportunity to make the world a safer place arises and if the guild can see this comming they will gather soliders from the army and adventures to defend or grab that opportunity.
Defensive battles If a threat like an dragon or an army starts attacking a city an Emergency meeting and afterwards Raid which will consist of a mix between army people and adventuring parties, usually the army will be responsible for the main attack and rescue of civilians and the adventuring guild will fill in whereever needed split off from the main units but that will change depending on the situation.
Aggressive fights Sometimes after recon from other adventuring parties vurnerabilities will be found in enemy settlements around the continent and since the guilds mission is so take back the continent from the many monsters that lurk in it they will usually jump on tha chance to expand their area
