Plainlands Annexed into Thirewynian Empire

The Plainlands are annexed by the empire. While there are some who resented this change, the region was mostly left untouched and settlers had already moved in to fill the voids with large farms across the plains. This also helped bolster the defensive line around the capital, and the empire encouraged and often funded expeditions and trade routes, roads and towns, to be created in the new land and beyond. Existing inhabitants, mostly shires and small villages, were annexed by force or through diplomacy, whichever was required. With the new social policies and trade brought to the land, and an overwhelming force being brought in initially to pacify the lands, there were few cases of revolt; Likely because the natives predominantly living in the lands had no care or ability to fight against an empire.
  In return for the lasting peace, the new hold would be given more than enough troops to defend its vast prairie and grassland borders, along with incentives like trade and civilization which greatly increased the wealth and happiness within the new hold.
