Ravencrest

12th of Avandur- Ravencrest is the last day of the year and falls on the winter solstice. It is the end of the Ravenist cycle of Long nights. As the longest night of the year it is the High holy day of The Raven Queen, Guardian of the Shadowfell and Mistress of Fate. Festivities include Drinking, Eating, Dancing, and music along with a game like tag called reaping where the chosen reaper must capture the souls and send them to the Shadowfell. In the late hours of the night is when the true Reapers arrive depositing the Raventide requests to any participant in the Drawing the reaper who did not perish during the year. These Ravencrest gifts are left inside the homes of those children in small caskets. Parents often ape the actions of the Reapers to give their children additional gifts.
