Pelorum Dawn

1st of Shehandur- Pelorum Dawn or First of Pelorum is a celebratory day marking the beginning of the pelorum cycle of lengthening days. The feast day commemorates the end of the darkness and is the high holy day of Pelor, Chief god of the Legion of Light. Pelorum is celebrated the day after the Winter Solstice as the oncoming of longer days ahead. It also commemorates the beginning of a new year on the Al'Uvium Calendar. The feast day is marked by the consumption of foods, dancing and other revels along with opening the gifts of Ravencrest. Pelorum celebrations are always celebrated in concert with Ravenist holidays as they precede or follow each other. See Ravencrest
