Nine Hells Eve

17th of Zehindur- Nine Hells Eve is a yearly feast day honoring the gods of the lower planes particularly those of the Nine Hells. The day is intended as a placation to the Doomward gods to provide them with worship once a year so they might decide to leave the world in peace. The Idyllic Deities are aware of this practice and though they don't approve they do not issue any commands to stop it. This day is part of the Festival of the Lower Planes, a week long festival celebrated to honor all the lower planes. However most communities only celebrate the final two days honoring the two most feared planes of existence. Nine Hells Eve Celebrations include: Bonfire burnings, Animal Sacrifice, Blood Magic rituals, Feasts of Honor. *note -immoral actions are not condoned despite the nature of the holiday, only simulations. In many communities this holiday has become less serious and is more tongue in cheek with over the top simulations of Sacrifices and rituals, candy cannibalism, Parody Skits of the fall of the Doomward gods and other joyful activities. These communities have seen no known backlash to this mockery but most people find them reckless and foolish.
