Hunters Moon

Hunters moon- celebrated on the nearest full moon to the summer solstice- on the shortest full moon of the year the Wild Hunt is said to occur where the spirits of the dead ride through the planes collecting ghosts and undead who have not passed beyond making them part of the wild hunt itself. Those caught by the Wild Hunt while still alive are said to become imprisoned by The Wild Hunt for eternity, driven to end their mortal existence so they may join their brethren and take part in the chase. The day is filled with revelry and celebration in preparation for the night of silence and sheltering ahead. It is believed that to make noise as The Hunt passes will bring The Hunt masters to your door and one member of the household must be bound to The Hunt before they will depart.
